Cincinnati Computer Reuse promotes digital equity by providing refurbished low-cost computers to students, job seekers, senior citizens, and nonprofits in Greater Cincinnati, which allows them to fully participate in education, the economy, and society in general. In addition, CCR promotes resource conservation by providing businesses with a secure, environmentally responsible option for disposing of unneeded tech equipment, which in turn increases the local reuse and recycling rates while keeping potentially hazardous materials out of landfills.
Donations: Cincinnati Computer Reuse accepts donations of computers and related equipment from local businesses. We assess each piece that comes in the door to determine if it is suitable for refurbishing, or if it will be recycled. Items which may contain personal information are stored securely while triaged. Data is erased onsite and packaged until shipment to our R2 certified recycler. This gives donors the assurance that their information will be thoroughly destroyed. Certificates of data destruction are provided on request.
Computer sales: Donated equipment that meets our quality standards (Windows 11 or Chrome OS capable) is run through our wiping/imaging process. This tests the internal components of the computer and loads a new, licensed, Windows or Chrome operating system. Microsoft Office is also installed on computers that will be sold to individuals. Our prices range from $75-$350.
